SherWare Inc. has been providing Oil & Gas Accounting Solutions since 1992.
Founded in Wooster, Ohio by Phil Sherwood, the company has had steady growth and
currently serves over 400 clients in 29 states.
Our first product was the Oil & Gas Disbursement and
JIB Manager. It was introduced in 1993. Built from the ground up as a Microsoft
Windows® software application, the Disbursement and JIB Manager was the first
Windows based oil & gas accounting solution available.
Our second product, the Oil & Gas Accounting
Manager, was released in 1996. The Accounting Manager is a fully integrated
accounting system which built upon the revenue distribution and
joint-interest-billing functions available in the Disbursement and JIB Manager.
In 2001, Intuit started providing an interface
for 3rd party applications to integrate with QuickBooks® Pro 2002. This was a
natural fit for the Disbursement and JIB Manager and it was integrated with
QuickBooks to provide Oil & Gas specific functions to companies that used
QuickBooks for accounting. This product is now called Disbursement and JIB
Manager Integrated Edition and currently works with all
versions of QuickBooks Pro 2002 through QuickBooks Pro 2008. It also integrates
with QuickBooks Premier, Enterprise, Accountants Edition and other industry
specific QuickBooks versions.
The latest product available consists of online
web hosting and reporting. This allows companies using our software to have a
web presence and to offer online availability of owner operating and JIB
statements to their royalty and working interest owners.
